Razumevanje virov in vplivov onesnaževal v okolju: Študenti bodo pridobili poglobljeno razumevanje različnih virov onesnaževal v okolju in njihovih vplivov na biosfero, hidrosfero, litosfero in atmosfero.
Prepoznavanje, karakterizacija in remediacija kontaminiranih območij: Študenti bodo usposobljeni za prepoznavanje, karakterizacijo in remediacijo kontaminiranih območij, s posebnim poudarkom na toksičnih kemijskih elementih, radionuklidih in organskih onesnaževalih.
Uporaba zakonodaje pri reševanju okoljskih problemov: Študenti se bodo naučili uporabljati relevantno zakonodajo in normative pri reševanju specifičnih okoljskih problemov.
Načrtovanje in izvajanje okoljskega monitoringa: Študenti bodo razvili veščine načrtovanja meritev, vzorčenja ter uvajanja metod za biološki in kemijski nadzor nad onesnaževali in drugimi okoljskimi parametri.
Obdelava podatkov in modeliranje: Študenti bodo pridobili znanja o metodah preslikave podatkov, kalibraciji in modeliranju, ter uporabi teh modelov za optimizacijo v okviru raziskovalnih projektov.
Ocenjevanje vplivov na okolje: Študenti se bodo usposobili za ocenjevanje vplivov na okolje, kar vključuje snovanje ocen vplivov na okolje ob upoštevanju razvojnih potreb in varstvenih interesov.
Razumevanje okoljske etike: Študenti bodo pridobili znanja o prepletanju znanosti in družbe z etičnimi in okoljskimi vprašanji ter pomembnosti okoljske etike v znanstvenem delu.

Course Objectives
Understanding Sources and Impacts of Environmental Pollutants: Students will gain a deep understanding of various sources of pollutants in the environment and their impacts on the biosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere, and atmosphere.
Identification, Characterization, and Remediation of Contaminated Sites: Students will be trained to identify, characterize, and remediate contaminated sites, with a special focus on toxic chemical elements, radionuclides, and organic pollutants.
Application of Legislation in Solving Environmental Problems: Students will learn to apply relevant legislation and standards in solving specific environmental problems.
Planning and Conducting Environmental Monitoring: Students will develop skills in planning measurements, sampling, and implementing methods for biological and chemical monitoring of pollutants and other environmental parameters.
Data Processing and Modeling: Students will acquire knowledge of data mapping methods, calibration, and modeling, and the application of these models for optimization within research projects.
Environmental Impact Assessment: Students will be trained to assess environmental impacts, including the development of environmental impact assessments that consider both development needs and conservation interests.
