IPS associate partners:
Intertwining outstanding scientific research and economic development is what makes the school special, since the founders and partners have an important partner in the IPS which helps them expand their involvement in industrial projects as well as in other national and international projects.
For a successful postgraduate study the following research capacities are of key importance: researchers and equipment. In terms of research capacities IPS enjoys a great privilege thanks to its founders – the Jožef Stefan Institute and its associate partners; National Institute of Biology, Institute of Metals and Technology and especially within the framework of the centres of excellence. In the context of various projects for industrial partners, IPS students are also actively involved in their research laboratories.
Collaboration of industrial cofounders and numerous associate partners from the industry plays a crucial role in defining the school’s direction and ensuring the quality of study programmes at the IPS. Students who take on topics that are more development oriented also get, if necessary, an industrial co-supervisor who helps guide their research work towards the goal and transfer the study achievements into practice in the context of companies.
Industrial organisations are of key importance for the IPS programmes, especially for:
Studying at the IPS gives students the chance to achieve high-quality scientific research with direct relevance for economic development. Such organisational structure is of key importance for accomplishing the school’s mission as a research and educational institution, international scientific and educational hub, centre for promoting the development of innovations, and a scientific and cultural epicentre.
