Short summary:

The dissertation presents novel pneumatic actuators capable of accumulating compressed air and operating without an external air supply, along with innovative control algorithms and a hybrid rigid-soft design to improve ergonomics. These novelties are integrated into a newly designed lower-limb exoskeleton. The exoskeleton's performance and effectiveness were evaluated through human trials.
