Short summary:

We developed a prototype control system using the EPICS environment for the low-energy ion beamline at the tandem ion accelerator laboratory of the Jožef Stefan Institute. This activity was ongoing simultaneously with the hardware construction of the ion beamline, which is dedicated to research with low-energy ion beams with energies from a few to 30 keV.
