Candidates can enrol in the first academic year of the second-cycle study programme if they have graduated in the first-cycle study programme in natural sciences, technical disciplines, or computer science equivalent to at least 180 ECTS, or if they have completed higher education studies in these fields comprising at least three years of lectures. Candidates must also be proficient in English, which they can prove by language proficiency certificates.
Graduates from first-cycle study programmes in other disciplines, equivalent to 180 ECTS, should address their applications to the IPS Study Commission, which defines study obligations that need to be met before enrolling in the first academic year. The obligations are selected from the teaching modules of the first-cycle study programmes depending on the professional background of the candidate, and total between 10 and 60 ECTS. Candidates can fulfil these obligations either during their first-cycle degree studies, through advanced training programmes or by passing the relevant exams before enrolling in the second-cycle study programme.
Candidates who have completed first-cycle undergraduate study programmes in natural sciences, technical disciplines or computer science equivalent to 240 ECTS may enrol in the second academic year of the second-cycle studies and will be given recognition for 60 ECTS of study obligations. On enrolment, compulsory exams of 18 to 21 ECTS will be determined individually so the candidates can obtain knowledge complementary to their previous studies.
The list of admitted candidates is approved by the IPS Senate in accordance with the annual call for enrolment.
The students complete their second-cycle studies upon fulfilling the following obligations:
For the tuition fee see pricelist. The tuition covers the expenses related to the educational process and organisation.
